أما بعد: يقول العبد الفقير السيّد شمس الدين البهاري عن سبب تأليف هذا الكتاب: "مجريات العلماء وأهل العرفان في شفاء الأرواح والأبدان"، إنه قد جمعت مواد هذا الكتاب، الشامل على مجموعة من الأسرار والمجريات من عدة كتب مهمة قد ذكرت كثيراً من الوصفات المجربة عن ألسنة العلماء وأهل العرفان، ليرجع إليها ذوو الحاجات والمصابون بالأمراض والأسقام، فكانت على شكل احراز، وحُجب، ودعوات، وعوذات اكثرها مجرّب، تظهر مقدرة البارئ الشافي سبحانه وتعالى على الشفاء المطلق، فكانت طائفة من شتّى المجرّبات، تكفي لكافة المهمات، منها ما اقتطفته من كتب علمائنا الأجلاء، ومنها ما حدثني به بعض المؤمنين ما سمعوه من العلماء وأهل العرفان.
وقد نوهت بأسماء هؤلاء أمام كل عمل، ليكون ذلك داعياً إلى العمل به عن عقيدة كاملة، وإيمان ويقين، فكان صيدلية شفاء، مستمدة من أفواه السادة العلماء والعرفاء، جامعة شاملة، تعطي الإنسان الروحانية وتنير القلوب وتمد الروح بالصفاء، فلا تخلو منه في صفحة من دعوات يجاب لسائلها، وإستغاثات تنجح وسائلها، أو رقيات تحل محل العافية من المريض، أو مناجاة تلوح أمارات الغفران على صفحاتها.
