يذهب الكاتب إلى قارة يجهل أغلب القراء ما فيها من الدسائس. والاختيار لم يأت هكذا بلا سبب. ولعلّ الغاية الأهم تتمثل بالإضافة إلى الرغبة بالكشف عن حقيقة الآخر الذي يحاول شرعنة مختلف المجازر التي يقوم بها، في سعي الكاتب إلى توضيح ما في هذا الأدب من الانحلال الأخلاقي. فالكتاب بهذا المعنى محاولة غايتها توضيح حقيقة أولئك الذين اعتادوا اتهام ديانات الآخرين بالهبوط الأخلاقي، بما في ذلك الكشف عما في منجزهم الأدبي من الهبوط والانحلال وسوء الطوية والهدف.
