تشكل دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وحدة إقتصادية إذا ما قدر لها الاستمرار فلا شك أنها سوف تساهم إيجابياً في دعم التكامل الإقتصادي العربي الموحد. هذه الدراسة التي نقدم لها هي واحدة من الجهود المبذولة في هذا الإطار الإقتصادي الخليجي.
هي رؤية جديدة في طريق التكامل الإقتصادي الخليجي ينظر إليها مؤلفها الأخ جاسم بن محمد القاسمي من أربع زوايا لتحقيق هذا التكامل، فكانت رؤيته الأولى للجانب التاريخي والسياسي والحضاري والجغرافي هي العامل الهام والعنصر الأساسي للطريق نحو هذا الهدف المنشود.
أما رؤيته الثانية فقد كانت إلى مجلس التعاون الخليجي الذي ولد في 1981م ليدعم هذا الإطار الإقتصادي، وهكذا جاءت الاتفاقية وهي في نظر المؤلف دعامة أساسية لاقتصاد الخليج. وواضح من المشاريع بين دول المجلس الهدف الأساسي من تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية.
ولم تخل دراسة الباحث من القاء نظرة على إمكانية التكامل الإقتصادي العربي الموحد من خلال مجلس التعاون. فمجلس التعاون واحد من الأهداف الأساسية المنشودة نحو تحقيق الوحدة الشاملة وهو جزء من الإقتصاد العربي لا يمكن عزله أو تجزئته.
ويختتم الباحث دراسته بنظرة مستقبلية لاقتصاديات دول الخليج في ظل الركود الإقتصادي الحالي وإمكانية تحقيق المزيد من التكامل الإقتصادي مستقبلاً.
