أما بالنسبة للعالم العربي، فقد كانت الدول العربية سباقة في إبداء الرغبة لتحقيق تكامل إقتصادي عربي منذ قيام جامعة الدول العربية عام 1945، وعلى الرغم من ذلك فقد تعطّل مشروع التكامل الإقتصادي العربي لأكثر من ستة عقود لأسباب ومعيقات مختلفة منها الخلافات السياسية العربية - العربية الطاغية على التعاون الإقتصادي بين الدول العربية، وبسبب ضغوط خارجية لإقحام إسرائيل للتطبيع مع العرب من خلال مشاريع شرق أوسطية ومتوسطية...
