- المجلس الأول: الآيات والأحاديث النبوية في فضل البكاء والرثاء والزيادة وعقد المجالس الحسينيّة.
- المجلس الثاني: تبرّم شيعة العراق من سيرة معاوية ومطالباتهم الإمام الحسين عليه السلام في الإنتفاضة عليه.
- المجلس الثالث: حث يزيد من واليه في المدينة على أخذ البيعة من الحسين وجماعته المعارضين وتخلص الحسين من ذلك بمغادرة المدينة إلى مكة بعد توديع أخيه ابن الحنفية ووصيته إليه.
- المجلس الرابع: بعض وصايا أمير المؤمنين إلى ولده الحسن عليه السلام على مواصلة الحسين عليه السلام سيره الحثيث في توجهه من مكة إلى كربلاء.
- المجلس الخامس: قصّة خروجه في الكوفة وبالتالي قتله وقتل هانئ بن عروة، وأخيراً وصول نبأ قتلهما إلى الحسين عليه السلام.
- المجلس السادس: الحسين عليه السلام ينعي نفسه ليلة العاشر والعقيلة زينب عليها السلام تسمعه فيغشى عليها.
- المجلس السابع: موجز ترجمة العباس عليه السلام وأشقائه الثلاثة من أم البنين، وعلى أم البنين ترثي أولادها في المدينة وتندبهم بأشجى ندبة.
- المجلس الثامن: عرض مبارزة ومصرع علي الأكبر وعموم آل أبي طالب من الشهداء.
- المجلس التاسع: خطب الإمام الحسين عليه السلام يوم عاشوراء، وخطب بعض أصحابه، وتوبة الحر وخطبته، ومصرع الدفعة الأولى من أصحاب الحسين عليه السلام.
- المجلس العاشر: وداعه لعياله ثم إنحداره في الميدان، ومبارزاته ومقتل طفله الرضيع على صدره، ومصرعه عليه السلام بعدما أثخن بالجراح.
