لا زلت أذكر ليل البادية البهي، إبّان أيام الحصاد، و أنا طفل صغير، أتأمّل السمّاء في هجيع الليل، و أنا مستلقٌ على نادر التّبن، فأحلم بالطيران! بالسّفر كالريح.. كالسّحاب.. كالنّهر.. كطائر الحسنية.. أو كفراشات الرّبيع! تتغامز النّجيمات في السّواد الحالك، تتراقص حول محاق القمر، كقناديل صغيرة معلّقة في الفضاء. كانت النجيمات مُلْكِي، و ذاك الجبل المكلّل بالضّباب، و ذياك القمر الذي يتكامل بدراً في العلياء، و أيّام الصّبا الحالمة كالربيع.
كنت أبحث عن حلم، ككلّ أطفال العالم، و كان لا بدّ لهذا الحلم من بداية، من شعلة توقد فتيلته، ليتوقّد كالتّنور. ثمّ ما لبث أن اشتعل التنور و توقّد الفتيل، ذات يوم صائف، هناك... فوق قمة الجبل !
