تغيرت تماما نظرة الإنسان للكون المحيط به فى القرون الأخيرة : فبدأ بتصور الأرض مسطحة وتدور حولها الشمس وبقية الأجرام السماوية ،حتى وصل إلى معرفة أن الأرض كوكب صغير تابع لنجم غازى متوسط الحجم يقع منزويا فى أحد أذرع مجرة عادية ، يوجد مثلها مليارات المجرات ، لكن مع الأسف لم تواكب الصورة الذهنية لدى المسلمين عن السماء هذا التغير وجمدت عند حدود تصور المسلمون الأوائل لها.
يعتبر هذا الكتاب محاولة لإزالة بعض من سحب الجهل بالسماوات السبع والأراضى السبع ويقرب للعقل كثير من الغيبيات كالجنة والنار والصراط ويقدم رؤية ثورية جديدة للآيات الكونية الواردة بالقرآن الكريم وما فى فلكها من الأحاديث النبويه الصحيحة ، كما يبحث فى الإجابة عن بعض الأسئلة التى تعلق بالأذهان مثل : أين هى حدود السماء الدنيا وباقى السماوات ؟ وما هى الأراضى السبع ؟
هل يوجد فى الكون شئ له بعض الصفات مما ورد من صفات جهنم ؟
هل أثبت العلم انه يوجد حولنا ما لا نستطيع أن نراه أو نشعر به ؟ أين هى الجنة وما مدى اتساعها ؟ بالإضافة إلى الكثير من القضايا الأخرى وذلك من خلال رحلة ممتعة بين آيات القرآن الكريم والأحاديث النبوية الصحيحة من جهة وأحدث مكتشفات العلم فى مجال الفيزياء الكونية من جهة آخرى.
