لقد كان كانط صانع ألفاظ أساسية، صانع مصطلحات وحدود ومفاهيم متألق، صانع تلقائي، إلاّ أنّ ذلك التألق، وكذلك الروح النقدي المتثوب عطاءًا، ما جاء برغبة نفسية تتقصد إثبات الذات على نحو شخصي منغلق، بل بوازع معرفي فلسفي حقيقي يتقصّد إحداث قطيعة معرفية كان مرادها التوقف عند جملة من المفاهيم المصطلحية المهيمنة على التفكّر الفلسفي، ومن ثمّ الاستئناف. استئناف النّظر فيها لرفد مسارات ذلك التفكّر الحيوي بالجديد النقدي الخلاق إبداعاً، وذلك هو جانب من مناوبة الفيلسوف التنويري الذي يقف عند أطلال المعارف والبناءات والكلمات والمعاني والمفاهيم الفلسفية الأساسية ليعيد ويستأنف قولها من جديد بغية الحفاظ على ديمومة الفكر الفلسفي الخلاق، وحيوية دفق التفكّر الفلسفي المعطاء.
يعيد النظر في الكلمات والمفاهيم ليجلي عنها ما يعطّل دورها الحقيقي في راهن حال معرفي، ويبعث فيها نبض الحيوية والنشاط والدفق والزخم الدلالي لتستأنف مهمتها المعرفية في إناء التفكّر الفلسفي ودوامه، بل في إثراء دور الفيلسوف التنويري الذي يتضلّع بالنقد أو الطريق النقدية بعيداً عن أيّة موجّهات قبلية أو قسرية أو تلك المتأتيّة عبر وصاية غيرنا علينا. وتلك هي لعمري مهمة العقل التنويري الذي رسم ملامحه كانط بعيداً عن دلالته المحضة التي ترتجع إلى مقولات ومبادئ مكتفية بذاتها متعالية على واقع ما يجرب ويحدث في الوجود الإنساني. إنّ ما ترمي إليه فصول ومباحث هذا الكتاب إنّما هو استكشاف دروب الفيلسوف، استكشاف أساليبه في نسج جهازه المصطلحي وهو يهمّ ببناء مفاهيم ودلالات مصطلاحاته وكلماته الأساسية عبر سياقات أنظمة تفكيره وتفكُّره في سلسلة كتاباته، وفي جسديات ومعماريات ودلالات نصوصه الفلسفيّة.
