إنَّ ممَّا اختصَّ به الله سبحانَهُ وتعالى هذه الأمَّةَ المحمَّديَّة: تَسَلسُلَ الرِّوايةِ وضبطَها ونفيَ الشَّكِّ عنها.
فقد اتصلَ بنا القُرآنُ الكريمُ روايةً عن الله عزَّ وجلَّ بطريقِ جبريلَ عليه السلامُ الذي نزلَ بهِ على سيدنا محمَّدٍ صلَّى الله عليه وآلهِ وسلَّم، ومنهُ إلى صحابتِهِ الأكابرِ الكرامِ رضيَ الله عنهم، ومنهم إلى تابعيهم، وهكذا إلى يومنا هذا، بتسَلسُلٍ متَّصل، وروايةٍ صحيحَة، ولفظٍ مضبوط، ولهجةٍ سالمة، ممَّا لا يَدَعُ مجالاً للشكِّ في أنَّ ما بينَ أيدينا هو ما أوحاهُ الحقُّ عزَّ وجلَّ إلى الرسولِ الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلَّم، بغيرِ تحريفٍ ولا تبديل.
وقد اعتنى العلماءُ بتوثيقِ أسانيد القراءات، واشترطوا شُروطاً دقيقةً في قبولِ الرواية والرَّاوي، وكان لهم في التَّحقيقِ والتَّمحيص مَنهجٌ سديد، مَبناهُ على التَّثُّبتِ والإحتياط، فتراهُم يَرونَ عن الثِّقة: العدلِ الضّابطِ، عن مثلِهِ حتى نهاية السَّنَد، ثمَّ يبحثون أشدَّ البحثِ ليعرِفوا الأحفظَ فالأحفَظ، والأطولَ صُحبة لشيخهِ من غيره، ثمَّ يُثبِتونَ ذلكَ من طرقٍ عدَّة، حتى يحفظوا هذه الأسانيدَ من الغلَط، ويضبِطوا متونها، ولولا ذلكَ ما وصلَت إلينا القراءاتُ القرآنية على هذهِ الصُّورة الموثوقة.
ولكن خلَفَ من بعدِهم - في القرون المتأخرة - خَلْفٌ تسامحوا وتساهلوا؛ فارتكبوا من الأخطاءِ ما يحاسِبُهم عليه التاريخ، لذا شرع المؤلف لبيان ذلك، تحذيراً للأصحاب، وتبصيراً بالصَّواب، وتحدث في كتابه عن الشيخ شمروخ المزعوم في طبقه الآخذين عن الإمام المتولي، ليبين سقوط دعواه، وبطلان ما تخيّله وادّعاه.
