يتفق علماء اللغة على أن الكلام هو مجموعة المفردات التى تكون مع بعضها البعض بناء لغوياً مفيداً يحسن السكوت عليه، وهذا ما يعرف بالجملة التامة المعنى، سواء أكانت جملة أسمية، أم فعلية. وكثيراً ما ذكرت كلمة (الأسلوب) فى كتابات النقاد ودارسى الأدب فى تنظيرهم وتطبيقاتهم على النصوص، وكثيراً ما ذكرها البلاغيون المحدثون فى أطروحاتهم البلاغية الجديدة ورؤاهم المعاصرة. لذلك يأتى هذا البحث فى إطار الحرص على إفادة الدارسين بتقديم مكونات الجملة العربية وما يلزمها وما يعتريها من تغييرات، وكذلك الاسلوب وما يتضمنه من وسائل تسمو به وترقى ببلاغته ورونقه. لذا عرضت لأمور كثيرة تنتاب الجملة والأسلوب كالانزياح اللغوى والمفارقة اللغوية، وما بين الكلمات من مشترك لفظى وما تحمل من دلالات، كما عرضت لبعض الصيغ الصرفية التى لا يستغنى عنها الكاتب أو المبدع عند الكتابة. كتبت هذا واضعاً فى الاعتبار أن هذه الأمور والمصطلحات التى عرضت لها قد تناولها علماء اللغة وأساتذتنا الأفاضل الذين تعلمنا على أيديهم، لكنها جاءت فى ثنايا التأليف والمصادر، فقمت بجمعها مضيفاً إليها ما طرأ على الجمل والأساليب نتيجة لتطور اللغة ونموها.
