كتاب آموس الذي أقدم له يعالج أحداث وتطورات حدثت في العراق والمنطقة المحيطة به بين (2003-2010) ولا تزال ظواهرها مستمرة منذ بدأت مع الإحتلال الأمريكي والتدخّل الإيراني وإقبال النخب العراقية الجديدة الآتية من إيران وسوريا والمَهاجر على الإستيلاء والتقاسم والتصارع والقتل في ظل غياب رؤية أو مشروع وطني جامع.
سمّت المؤلفة كتابها أفول أهل السنّة، حيث ركزت على عمليات انتقال السلطة من النخب المدينية السنية، وعمليات تفكك المجتمع، ثم التهجير السكاني الواسع الذي شمل مليوني سنّي من العراق عامي (2003-2006) – مع أن الهجرة لم تقتصر عليهم بل تناولت المسيحيين والشيعة الذين اعتُبروا من أتباع النظام السابق -، وعمليات القتل المستهدف من جانب المسلحين الميليشياويين والإستخبارات الإيرانية، وكان المقصود ابتداءً بهذا النوع من الإستهداف القاتل تصفية النخب العراقية الدولية والإجتماعية والإقتصادية والسياسية، ثم صار القتل عشوائياً بعد العام 2005 من أجل النهب والسلب والدفع إلى الهجرة وتكوين مناطق طائفية صافية.
كتاب آموس مفزع. قرأته أول مرة في عام 2011، وكتبت عدة مقالات عنه. والمؤلفة صحافية متمرسة ذات نزوع أدبي وشعري، وقد استندت في مشاهداتها إلى زيارات ميدانية طويلة في العراق وسوريا والأردن ولبنان والمنطقة الكردية. ورغم الأهوال التي تحدثت عن حدوثها في العراق، ربما لم يكن بوسعها التنبؤ بأهوال جديدة حدثت بعد ذلك في سوريا أيضاً. د. رضوان السيد.
