في هذا الكتاب مسرحيات إسلامية ذات فصل واحد، تعالج اثنتان منها وهما: "معجزة في الضفة الغربية" و"صرخة عند المسجد الأقصى" حلقتين متوهجتين من ملحمة العمل الفدائي في الساحة الفلسطينية، عبر بداياته الأولى.
بينما تعالج (البلاغ رقم 7) دراما الصراع الذي لا ينتهي بين الإيمان والطاغوت، وبين التوحيد والوثنية؛ أما (شيء عن الموت) فإنها تتعامل مع واقعة الموت، وتدير الكاميرا، عبر باخرة تجتاز البحر المتوسط، وتوشك على الغرق... على مواقف متغايرة، ومتناقضة، إزاء هذه الواقعة التي يمكن أن تستمد منها الكثير، بدلاً من اليأس والإستسلام.
وأما (أكاديميون) فهي كوميدياً تُعرض بأسلوب ساخر لجملة من الممارسات التي تدور في بعض الجامعات العربية، حيث يصير (اللقب العلمي) و(المظاهر)، وزيادة المدخولات المالية، الأهداف التي يتقاتل عليها الأكاديميون، وحيث تسحب إلى الظل مطالب الإبداع في العملية التدريسية أو البحث العلمي.
