“جوي سبيدبوت” هي ثاني رواية هولندية تترجمها العربي للنشر والتوزيع بعد الرواية الشهير “العشاء” لهيرمان كوخ. ليس الرواية التقليدية عن الإعاقة. ولكن الأمر هنا مختلفٌ تمامُا، فـ”جوي سبيدبوت” لن تكون أبدًا إحدى تلك الروايات الإلهامية. فعلى الرغم من أن “فرانكي”، راوي هذه الرواية، أصابه الشلل بعد إصابته في حادثة طريق ودخولة في غيبوبة لأكثر من مائتي يوم عندما كان في الرابعة عشر من عمره، إلا أننا نرى اذا كان يستطيع أن يتغلَّب على كل الصعوبات التي تقابله أثناء تقدمه في العمر. رواية جوي سبيد بوت – تومي فيرينيجا السرد على لسان فرانكى الذى يعيش فى قرية لومارك الهامشية، والذى يتعرض لحادث يجعله قعيدا مشلولا، وغير قادر على الكلام، ولكنه يتعرف على صبى مغامر وحالم اسمه “جوى سبيد بوت”، يغير حياته تماما، ويحلّق به الى عالم جديد وفريد. أكثر ما أعجبنى فى الرواية الممتعة رغم طولها (نحو 342 صفحة) فكرة استلهام عالم الساموراى ولكن فى إطار آخر تماما، يصبح المهمش فى قلب الصورة، ويكتشف العالم ونفسه من خلال سبيدبوت الذى لا توجد مسافة تقريبا بين ما يحلم به وما يحققه، وكأننا جميعا فى حاجة الى سبيدبوت بطاقته الحركية المدهشة لكى تكون لحياتنا معنى. هذه رواية عن الإنتصار فى معركة الحياة، ليست قصة كئيبة على الإطلاق، رغم أن بطلها شاب يجلس على مقعد متحرك يكتب ولا يتكلم، بل إن فيها الكثير من المواقف المرحة، ومن بين أبطالها شخصية مصرية نوبية تعيش فى هولندا، لدينا تفاصيل مدهشة عن الشخصيات والمكان، وهناك مستويات متعددة لمعانيها وأفكارها، إنها رواية عن الإنسان الذى يستطيع إذا أراد وتحرك ووثق فى نفسه، وحكاية ذكية عن ضرورة صنع الحياة، رغم أن الحياة ليست معقولة أو مفهومة أو قابلة للتفسير فى معظم الأحوال .
