وما يلاحظ على كاتب هذه السيرة هو وضعه لمنهج سار عليه في الكتابة، فلم يعمد إلى ذكر التفاصيل الصغيرة التي لا تهم القارىء والتي يلجأ إليها-في العادة- كتاب السير الذاتية إذ نراه يكتفي بالوقوف عند المحطات الرئيسية في حياته العسكرية بالقدر الذي يسهم في تقري وبلورة المفاهيم الوطنية التي قامت عليها النهضة في البلاد على صعيدي بناء وحدة الوطن وإنشاء القوات المسلحة من خلال منظوره لها كمواطن وكجندي عاش البداية.
ووفق المنهج الذي اختطه المؤلف لكتابه نراه يعرض لنا بأسلوبه الجزل ما كانت عليه أرض المملكة العربية السعودية أثناء مرحلة التوحيد بقيادة الملك عبد العزيز بن عبد الرحمن آل سعود وما رافق هذه المرحلة وتخللها من أحداث جسام في عصر النهضة الزاهر الذي تنعم به البلاد، مؤكداً على أنه لولا الولاء والإيمان بالله والالتزام الثابت بكتابه وسنة رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم الانتماء للوطن لما كان هذا الكيان على الحالة الراهنة من التنمية والعمران. الأمن والأمان والحضور المؤثر في المحافل الدولية والقضايا الإقليمية.
