هذه أوراق في تلقي النص قدمها المؤلف في مهرجانات علمية، أو مؤتمرات أدبية في أكثر من بلد عربي، ولأهميتها فقد رأى أنه لمن الصواب جمعها ودفعها للنشر اعتزازاً بها، وحرصاً عليها من الضياع أو العبث إن تركت مبعثرة بين أوراقه الكثيرة التي لو انتظمت لشكلت ثلاث مخطوطات أو أكثر.
تنتظم هذه الأوراق في ثلاثة فصول: خصص الأول منها لتلقي النص الشعري، ودراسة بعض الظواهر الفنية في التوظيف، أو التناص الإبداعي، أو الموازنات الفنية، فضلاً عن اثر الترجمة الشعرية في المتلقي، وخصص الثاني منها لما لم يقل في السياب ثائراً، وإنساناً وناقداً، في حين خصص الثالث منها لتلقي النصوص السردية التي بالنظر لأهميتها كان لا بد نقدياً من الوقوف عندها وتحليلها وتقويمها بحيدة علمية، وموضوعية نقدية، والإشارة إلى ما قدمته من إنجاز حرك ماء البركة، وحاول أن يتخطى السائد فيها.
