Book Description
وَجَد العربُ في الأمثال ميداناً فسيحاً للتعبير عن تجاربهم وحِكمهم وآرائهم، فراحوا يطلقونها جزلةً جامعةً عند كلِّ حدثٍ، أو موقفٍ، او مناسبة؛ وقد أدرك نَفَرٌ من قُدامى المُصنِّفين ما في الأمثال من فوائد وفرائد، فعملوا على جمعها وتبويبها في مُصنَّفاتٍ خاصَّة.
يُعدُّ "التمثيل والمحاضرة" واسطة عِقْدِ ما ذكرنا من هذه المصنفات، فقد وضعه الثعالبي بعد "جَمْهرة" العسكري، وقبل "مَجْمَع" الميداني، ففاق سابقيه، واستفاد منه لاحقوه، وبقيَ على مَرِّ العصور دليلاً على سعة علم صاحبه، وغزارة حفظه، ومهارته في التأليف والجمع والتبويب.
وقد صرَّح "أبو منصور" في مقدمة كتابه أنه ألَّفه للأمير "شمس المعالي قابوس بن أبي طاهر" و"شمكير الجيلي" (ت 403هـ/ 1012م) أمير جرجان وبلاد الجبل وطبرستان، على سبيل التَّقرُّب والعرفان بالمنَّة والفضل، وقال في نعته: أنه كتاب "إسلامي جاهلي، وعربي عجمي، وملوكيّ سوقيّ، وخاصيٍّ عاميّ، يشتمل على أمثال الجميع، ويضمُّ نشر ما يجري مجراها من ألفاظهم، ويتضّمن ما يأخذ مأخذها من فرائد النَّشْر، وقلائد النظم، فوائد الجدّ، ونوادر الهَزْل".
لأهمية هذا الكتاب اعتنى به الأستاذ "صلاح الدين الهواري" وفقاً للخطة الآتية: تصدير الكتاب بمقدمة تشتمل على تعريفٍ بمؤلف الكتاب "أبي منصور الثعالبي" وآثاره، ومنزلته، ومنهجه في تأليف الكتاب، ضبط الآيات القرآنية، وتوثيقها وفقاً لورودها في القرآن الكريم، ضبط الشواهد الشعرية، وشرحها، وتعيين محورها، ضبط الأمثال والحكم النثرية، والتأكُّد من سلامتها اللغوية والإملائية، ضبط أسماء الأعلام، والتعريف بهم ما أمكن، مع الإحالة إلى أهم المصادر التي ترجمت لهم، ضبط وشرح ما غَمُضَ من مفردات الكتاب وعباراته، توثيق الأبيات الشعرية وفقاً لورودها في مظانِّها في دواوين ومصنفاتٍ أدبية، نسبة بعض الأبيات الشعرية الواردة في الكتاب من غير نسبةٍ إلى أصحابها، تكملة بعض أنصاف الأبيات، وتوثيقها، وتعيين بحورها، تزويد الكتاب بمجموعة من الفهارس الفنية التي تساعد القارئ، وتمكنه من الرجوع إلى موادّ الكتاب بسهولةٍ ويُسْر.
