لا شئ أهم من أن نضع، أو أن نصطنع هذه الرؤية الجغرافية الإقتصادية للموارد، دون الوقوع في خطيئة الإنحياز إلى صف الطبيعة على حساب قدرات الإنسان، ودون التردي في حضيض التحيز إلى صف الإنسان على حساب ضوابط الطبيعة. وتبني هذه الرؤية الجغرافية الإقتصادية المتحررة من تزمت الحتميين، أو من تسيب الإمكانيين، على أساس جديد يتلمس الندية في العلاقة بين الإنسان والطبيعة، ويستشعر قيمة أو جدوى الوسيلة الحضارية، التي تسعف الإنسان وتشد أزره في مصارعة الطبيعة، من أجل حد مصالحه متغير من حين إلى حين آخر لحساب الحياة وإيقاعاتها المتطورة.
وتفسر مثل هذه الرؤية الجغرافية الإقتصادية للموارد، دواعي وموجبات التغير في استخدام الموارد وفي تحسين انتاجها الإقتصادي. بل قل إنها تحمل الإنسان من خلال الوسيلة الحضارية مسئوليات هذا التحسين، وتحمل عليه وتشجب تقصيره أو تخاذله في توظيف الوسيلة الحضارية لحساب هذا التحسين ويسرنا أن نقدم هذه المحاولة التي تستهدف التجديد والتجويد، في هذا الكتاب إلى طلاب المعرفة الجغرافية.
