كيف يمكن تأسيس نظام صحفى وإعلامى حر مستقل وطنى مسؤول يترجم أهداف ثورة 25 يناير ويحيل شعاراتها إلى واقع معاش؟ كيف يمكن إعادة النظر فى ملكية الصحف المسماة بالقومية والإعلام المسمى بالقومى ليخضعنا فعلاً لا إسماً ولا شكلاً لمصدر السلطة وصاحب السيادة الشرعية.. المواطن المصرى دافع الضرائب وصاحب الحق الأصيل والمباشر فى تقرير مصير الصحافة والإعلام فى مصر؟. على أى نحو يمكن تشكيل المجلس الوطنى للصحافة والإعلام ليكون تابعاً للشعب لا للنظم والحكومات مستقبلاً فى ميزانيته وسيداً لقراره يعمل لأن تكون الكلمة الحرة والنزيهة والموضوعية والمسؤولة هى السائدة بين الصحفيين والإعلاميين فى مصر، وليكون الصحفى والإعلامى قادراً على الوصول إلى المعلومة أياً كان مصدرها، جريئاً فى نشرها، أمينا فى عرضها لا يراعى إلا الله وضميره وقيم المجتمع ومصالحه وأخلاقياته ومواثيق الشرف التى يقسم على إحترامها؟. كيف يمكن مقاومة الإحتكار والتنزيف الإعلاميين ومحاربة الصحافة الصفراء والإعلام الذى يتغذى على الشائعات والفضائح والأكاذيب التى تهدم ولاتبنى وتشيع روح اليأس والإحباط وتجعل المجتمع يحارب بعضه بعضاً ولا يتخذ له هدفاً ومشروعاً ينجزه ليتبوأ مكانة فى القرن الحادى والعشرين؟ كيف يمكن الوصول إلى إعلام الخدمة العامة فى ظل إعلام حكومى متضخم بالعاملين ومدين بأكثر من ستة عشر ملياراً من الجنيهات، ورسالته لا تكاد تنافس محلياً أو عربياً فضلاً عن غيابه دولياً؟ كيف يخدم الإعلام الخاص والصحافة الخاصة والحزبية المصالح التجارية والحزبية دون أن يكون ذلك خصماً من المصالح العليا للوطن والأهداف القومية لمجتمع أحوج ما يكون إلى تنمية القواسم المشتركة وتقليص حجم الصراعات الفئوية والتوترات الطائفية؟
هذه النماذج لبعض القضايا التى يتعامل معها هذا الكتاب إستناداً إلى رؤية مصرية خالصة .
