المضاف إليه مستخلص يتناول هذا الكتاب جزءاً من سلسلة (في مدينة الضاد) الرائدة، في مجال إنتاج كتاب الطفل، التي يقوم عليها مؤلف ورسام وشاعر وناشر، يعملون بجهد جماعي متكامل في تقديم الفكرة وتطويرها وبناء شخصياتها وتصنيفها، وتوسيع دائرة عملها ونشاطها. يتضمن الكتاب تعريفاً بالمضاف والمضاف إليه، واكتساب المضاف من المضاف إليه التعريف أو التخصيص، وبيان حكم كل منهما الإعرابي، ويستخدم الصور الملونة لإيضاح الفكرة لكي تقدم للطفل الفعل الماضي بملامح رجلٍ عجوزٍ في بيتٍ قديمٍ وحوله كتب التراث، والفعل المضارع في هيئة شاب يستخدم تقنيات العصر ليعرف ما يدور حوله، وفعل الأمر في زي قائدٍ للشرطة يُصدر أوامره بحزم، والأسماء ، ممثلةً بسكان مدينة الضاد، والأحرف في شخصيات طريفةٍ، والحركة في شكل أزهار حديقةٍ تقطف الحروف منها ما يلائمها، مع أغنيات شعرية جميلةٍ تخدم الهدف. وبذلك يقرب للأطفال لغة الضاد، ويبسط لهم قواعدها، ويزينها لهم ويحببها إليهم ليعشقوها.
