وجد المؤلف ان بعض الكتاب حاسبوا التصوف بأفعال بعض مدعي التصوف فرجع الى اقوال ائمة كثير من المنتقدين وخاصة ابن تيمية وابن القيم وكيف فرقوا بين افعال مدعي التصوف وقد رد على بعض المنتقدين المعاصرين بأعيانهم وعلى اساليبهم في الشدة ونقل من كتب علماء التصوف ايضا ردودا ولكن له بعض الآراء في مسائل مرجعها علم التوحيد خالف فيها كما حكم على بعض علماء الصوفية كابن عربي والحلاج بما ينقل عنهم بحسب ظاهره مع انه اما مدسوس عليهما - وعلى امثالهما - او مؤول بمعنى دقيق او من الشطحات التي قيلت في حالة عدم الوعي
