من هذا المنطلق يأتي هذا الكتاب ليقدم المؤلف دراسة وجيزة في هذا العلم لبيان حقيقة التصوف وفي أنه عبارة عن طريقة انتقالية لإصلاح القلوب وتزكية النفوس، وقد استعرض المؤلف مذهب التصوف بطريقة علمية بعد الرجوع إلى أهم المصادر والمراجع التي تناولت هذا العلم.
