تلاحظ في الآونة الأخيرة كثرة تعديل قانون المباني وأعمال البناء، ملاحقة في ذلك التطور العمراني والتضخم السكاني، وما صاحبه من إرتفاع أسعار الشقق بمصر، وتوقيا لإقامة المباني بصورة عشوائية يضيع معها تخطيط المدن، وما قد يترتب على مخالفة المواصفات من جانب بعض ذوي النفوس الضعيفة سعياً وراء المادة وتحقيق الربح من تعريض المال والأرواح - لخطر الإنهيار والتصدع والموت، فسمعنا جميعاً عن عمارة لوران بكورنيش إسكندرية التي انهارت مع أنه لم يمر على بناءها إلا فترة قصيرة، وبعدها وأخيراً عمارة روكسي هيلوبوليس مصر الجديدة وموت الكثير من الأبرياء والمارة.
الأمر الذي معه تدخل المشرع لتشديد العقاب على المخالفين للمواصفات، أو البناء بدون ترخيص وإن كنا نطمع أن يتدخل المشرع لإدخال تعديل طفيف على القانون بالنص فيه على {إشراك "الجيولوحي والكيمائي" في العمل قبل الشروع في البناء وإيجاد "مراقب" لجودة "الخرسانة المسلحة"، ودراسة إمكانية تحمل "التربه" للمبنى المزمع إقامته}.
