Book Description
"عشيقات الماضي البعيد" هي مختارات قصصية للشاعر والكاتب "ماريو بينيديتي" (1920-2000) نقلها إلى العربية علاء شنانة، وتضم ثلاثة وأربعون قصة قصيرة.
قيمة هذه القصص من كون صاحبها روائياً لامعاً في الأورغواي والعالم أيضاً، لديه قدرة كبيرة على جعل القارىء في حالة تشوق دائم، وتلهف لمعرفة النهاية، وذلك واضح في القصة المعنونة "عشيقات الماضي البعيد" التي هي لا تعدو أن تكون تعبيراً عن الحياة في زمن، ففيها أراد بينيديتي أن يخلص السرد من هيمنة الزمن، وأن يعبر عن الحياة بالقيم فقط، وأهمها قيم الحب.
بطلا القصة رودريغو ازناريس، كان يشغل منصب سكرتير الدكتور مونتيس صاحب - حسب قوله - خطة ثورية للتدريب الرياضي. أما ناتاليا أوريبي فكانت راقصة إستعراضية، جميلة ورشيقة سمراء ذات ظهور متواضع، كانت تلف رودريغو بلطفها الهادىء وحضورها اللافت ... بعد انتهاء عملهما معاً لم ير العاشقان بعضهما على الرغم من أنهما اتفقا على لقاءات أخرى، بعد مدة علم رودريغو أن الشابة كانت قد انتقلت إلى كندا مع عائلتها. وكان هذا في العام 1944.
تتوالى الأحداث في القصة حتى العام 2000 ... حتى يلتقيا صدفة واحد له من العمر واحد وثمانون والآخر تسعة وسبعون. وعاد الحب من جديد "تركت مقعدها وذهبت لتجلس بالقرب من رودريغو. بعد ذلك، وكما في خريف 44، أسندت رأسها إلى الكتف الذي وجدته من جديد ...".
من عناوين القصص نذكر: قداس مع خبز محمص، حلم أرامل، رجال الإطفاء، بلوغ الحلم، حقيبة الرحلات القصيرة، الوقت يمر، عائلي، عشيقات الماضي البعيد (...) وقصص أخرى.
