وبعد: فلقد اعتنى أئمتنا، وعلماؤنا المتقدمون، والمتأخرون بأبواب العقيدة أشد الاعتناء فهماً، وعملاً، ودعوة، وكتابه، بين مختصر، ومتوسط ومطول. ومن تلك الكتب النافعة: كتاب "الاقتصاد فى الاعتقاد" للإمام/ أبي محمد عبد الغني بن عبد الواحد المقدسي، الذى يدل على قوة كاتبه، وثباته، ورسوخه فى العلم، والعقيدة الصحيحة، فهو مع صغر حجمه لم يسبقه كتاب حوى ما حوى من مسائل الاعتقاد.
وفي أثناء شرحي لكتاب "قطف الثمر فى بيان عقيدة أهل الأثر" لصديق بن حسن القنوجي رأيته رحمه الله- نقل فصولاً بكمالها، وعبارات أخرى من "الاقتصاد فى الاعتقاد"
فأحببت أن أنقل ما كتبته على عبارات المقدسى فى قطف الثمر، وأجعله على نفس الكتاب، مع تكلمة ما ذكره المقدسي رحمه الله- ولم ينقله صديق بن حسن رحمه الله – فى قطف الثمر.
لاسيما والمحقق الأول يخدم الكتاب خدمة كافيه، مع تضخيمه لحجم الكتاب بغير ما طائل، فأحببت أن تكون خدمة للكتاب، لاسيما وهي لم تأخذ على كثيراً من الوقت، فقد كانت شبه جاهزة، فإنما أضفتها فى هذا الكتاب مع تقديم وتأخيره وشيء من التعليق للفائدة، عسى الله أنت أن ينفعنا به، إنه على كل شئ قدير.
أسأل الله المولى الكريم أن يجعل أعمالنا خالصة لوجهه الكريم، لا رياء ولا سمعة، كما أسأله العفو والعافية فى الدنيا والآخرة، والحمدلله رب العالمين.
