هذا الكتاب هو مجموعة من الأبحاث التى وضعها الدكتور(محمد عبد العاطى) فى فترة سابقة وقد كانت جميعها فى تقسيمات الألفاظ. وقام المؤلف فى كتابه بتنظيمها على هيئة أربعة أبواب جاء تقسيمها كالتالى: الأول جاء وفقاً لإعتبار وضع اللفظ للمعنى، والثانى باعتبار استعمال اللفظ للمعنى ، الثالث اعتبار ظهور المعنى وخفائه.. وأخيراً الرابع تقسيم اللفظ باعتباردلالة على المعنى. وقد قسم كل باب إلى عدة مباحث وإستخدام المؤلف فيها اسلوب سهل لا يستعصى على الفهم.. وهو كتاب يقدم الكثير للدراسين والمهتمين بذلك العلم.
