هذا بحث في البيان عند الأصوليين وأثره في الفقه الإسلامي، وهو من الموضوعات الهامة في أصول الفقه، لأن النصوص الشرعية وإن كان بعضها قد ورد بينا في ذاته لا يحتاج إلى إيضاح، إلا أن بعضها الآخر يحتاج إلى بيان وتفسير لما يكتنفها من غموض وخفاء، ولا شك أن لهذا البيان أثرًا ملحوظًا في استنباط الأحكام من النصوص، وكان بديهيًا أن يكون بين العلماء بعض الاختلاف حول البيان وما يتعلق به من موضوعات مما قد تنعكس آثاره على الفروع فينالها بعضًا من الاختلاف.
وقد بذلك كل ما في وسعي للبحث في جل ما يتعلق بهذا الموضوع في هذا البحث المتواضع، وكنت أتفهم الموضوع ككل في كتب السلف الصالح مبينًا رأي العلماء في كا مسألة على حدة، ثم أرجح الرأي الذي خرجت أدلته سالمة بعد المناقشة مع اقتناعي به.
وقد عنيت بتخريج الأحاديث وجعلت خطة البحث في ثلاثة أبواب: (الباب الأول: معنى البيان وما يقع به ومحله، الباب الثاني: أنواع البيان، الباب الثالث: مسائل متعلقة بالبيان).
