محتويات الكتاب تشمل على أربعة أبواب. الباب الأول ويتكون من فصلين يوليان اهتمامهما لمفهوم وجذور مدخل القيمة الاقتصادية المضافة، والدافع لظهوره وتوقيت ذلك الظهور. ثم الباب الثاني الذي يشتمل على أربعة فصول تقدم الحجة على عدم ملائمة المبادئ المحاسبية المتعارف عيلها، وتقديم قوائم مالية بديلة يمكن الاعتماد عليها في تقييم أداء الإدارة. وفي الباب الثالث المكون من ثلاثة فصول يكون الموعد مع صور من تطبيقات لمدخل إيفا، تدور حول إمكانية تطبيق المدخل المذكور من خلال القوائم المالية المنشورة، التي عادة ما تعجز عن تقديم معلومات مالية كافية لتقييم الأداء، وكذا إمكانية الاعتماد عليه في تقدير قيمة المنشأة، وفي وضع نظام لمكافآت المديرين يضعفهم في قارب واحد مع الملاك. وأخيراً يأتي الباب الرابع الذي يقدم مجموعة من الحالات التطبيقية تغطي الجوانب المختلفة من مدخل القيمة الاقتصادية المضافة. هذه محتويات الكتاب الذي يحدوني الأمل في أن يمثل إضافة حقيقية للمكتبة العربية.
