تونا كيرمتشى ولد فى اسكشهير سنة 1973، ودرس السينما بكلية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة ميمار سينان، أول كتاباته "مراقبو القمر"، ثم روايته "ارحل قبل أن أنهار" عام 2002، تليها روايته الثانية "طريق العزلة" 2003، وفي عام 2007 نشر "الصلوات تبقى واحدة"، وهو أيضا يؤلف الأغانى، ويكتب السيناريوهات للسينما، بالإضافة إلى كتابة عمود صحفي في إحدى الصحف التركية المعروفة.
