ينطلق التفكير في مسألة "العقل"، من تلك الوضعية الوجودية التي يعيشها ذاتيا وعلائقيا. ومن خلال ذلك، ستتركزّ الإشكالية المركزية، لهذا العمل، في رصد صيغ ارتباط العقل بذاته وبمادة العالم. بمعنى آخر، إنّ البعد الإشكالي للعقل كامنٌ في نمط تصوّر أنكساجوراس له حين يعقل ذاته، وحين يعقل المادة والعالم، مما سيستدعي بالضرورة كشف الطريقة التي يُنجز بها العقل عملياته. وانطلاقا من ذلك، كان السؤال المركزي الذي سيحاول البحث مقاربته، هو: كيف يعيش "العقل-Noûs" حالة من الفاعلية المزدوجة، التي تجعله يعرِفُ ذاته من خلال استقلاله عن "المادة-"Matière، ويعرف هذه الأخيرة عبر تدخله في تكوينها وتشكّلها وتطورها؟
