كما حدث فى العالم الإسلامي فى العصر الوسيط نجد أن الدين يحاول أن يطبق الشئ نفسه فى العالم الإسلامي المعاصر بأن يخلق لنفسه مجالا سياسياً معتبراً ان ذلك أحد الأساليب السياسية. إضافة إلى ذلك إن استغراق الفرد فى الأزمنة الحديثة وانشغاله بالكون الفكري السياسي يهدد فرصة قيام علاقة مباشرة بين الدين والفلسفة ويهدد وجود مجالات الفعالية خارج العلوم الدينية، بل والأسوء من ذلك، أنه يهدد الكيان الداخلة للسياسية نفسها مما يفتح الطريق لوجود حاجة الى إعادة تنسيط ذاكرتنا المتعلقة بالعادات والأعراف الإسلامية السياسية فى العصر الوسيط. ولقد ساهم وجود حاجة كتلك فى تكوين وتشكسل محور هذه الدراسة التى تهدف إلى تناول العلاقة بين الدين والفسلفة من زاوية القضية السياسية.
