في هذه النصوص القصصية الثمانية يتعرّف القارئ إلى عوالم إنسانية روسية المرجع والدلالة، فهي على المستوى الأول صور عالية الدقة أو تكاد كذلك عن المجتمع الروسي في السنوات الأخيرة من القرن الفائت ومن هذا القرن، وهي على المستوى الثاني تعني هذا المجتمع كما خرج من عباءة الإتحاد السوفييتي وكما هو في راهنة، وعلى نحو دال على تعبير هذه النصوص عن بشر يزدحمون برهافتهم الإنسانية العميقة مهما يكن من أمر كونهم ينتمون إلى عالم مغاير للقيم التي نشأت عليها المجتمعات العربية.
وإذا كان ثمة ما يمكن قوله أخيراً فهو ما تقوله هذه النصوص نفسها، وما يمكن أن يقدم معرفة عن تطور الكتابة القصصية في روسيا وعن تحولاتها ومغامراتها بأن وهو ما تطمح إليه هذه الترجمات لها، أعني أن تضيء جانبين: إجتماعي وفني.
