بعض الكتب جيدة، وأخرى مهمة، وغيرها مذهلة، أو مؤثر، ولكن ثمة كتب تجمع تلك العناصر جميعها، بل أكثر من ذلك، كتب تستأهل صياغتها. وهذا الكتاب، الذي قام بتأليفه صديقي وأخي علي عقيل خليل، كان موضوعه جديراً بل مستأهلاً كتابته، فكان لا بد من ذلك! وتعود هذه الأهمية البالغة للكتاب إلى العديد من الأسباب، فاغتيال الرئيس الحريري يعتبر حجر زاوية الاستراتيجية الإمبريالية والصهيونية الأميركية في الشرق الأوسط. وتقضي هذه الاستراتيجية بالسعي إلى السيطرة الكاملة على المنطقة، سياسياً، واقتصادياً، وعسكرياً، وإلى استنزاف مواردها والقضاء على أي مقاومة فيها. لذلك، فهي نفذت ضدها عدواناً عنيفاً وغير شرعي، كما وعمدت إلى احتلال العراق. أما العدوان الصهيوني البشع ضد لبنان في العام 2006، فسعى إلى القضاء على المقاومة اللبنانية الشجاعة التي يتزعمها حزب الله. هذا بالإضافة إلى مخطط العدوان الإمبريالي/الصهيوني ضد إيران، والحملات الإمبرالية/الصهيونية ضد سوريا التي يمكن أن تشمل عدواناً عسكرياً واضحاً ينفذه الكيان الصهيوني، المدعى إسرائيل، وبالطبع، المخططات الصهيونية/الإمبريالية الوسخة التي تسعى إلى فض وحدة الشعب الفلسطيني عبر إقامة الجدران في المناطق المحتلة بهدف استمرار الاحتلال الإجرامي غير الشرعي فلسطين. ومن ضمن هذا السيناريو، كان اغتيال الرئيس الحريري، أخذت محطات الإعلام الصهيوينة/الإمبريالية حول العالم، بإلقاء المسؤولية على سوريا وغيرها من الحلفاء، على الرغم من عدم ثبوت هذه التهمة منذ البداية. بل على العكس، ظهرت العديد من الوقائع، والإثباتات، والدلائل إلى الملأ لتؤكد أن النظام الصهيوني نفسه هو الذي خطط ونظم اغتيال الحريري وغيره في لبنان من خلال وكالة الاستخبارات العديمة الرحمة، الموساد، ووحدة النخبة فيها 504.
يضم هذا الكتاب العديد من الوقائع والدلائل والإثباتات، لذلك تجدر قراءته وتوزيعه على قدر المستطاع بهدف التصدي للحملة الإمبريالية/الصهيونية المشوهة للحقائق. إضافة إلى ذلك، يعتبر هذا الكتاب مرجعاً ضرورياً في الأبحاث الوطنية، والإقليمية، والعالمية حول هذا الموضوع على وجه الخصوص وغيره من الحملات الإمبريالية/الصهيونية المشوهة للحقائق على وجه العموم.
