يسرني أن أقدم للباحثين هذا المعجم في مصطلحات المنطق وفلسفة العلوم للألفاظ العربية والإنجليزية والفرنسية واللاتينية. وهذا العمل لم يسبقني إليه إلا فيزوفيتش في معجم رموز المنطق الرياضي وكارل هورن جرينشتين الأستاذ بجامعة نيوورك في معجمه المعنون: معجم المصطلحات المنطقية والرموز، ومعجمه هذا يهتم خاصة بتعريف مصطلحات المنطق الرمزي في أنساقه المعاصرة، كما يهتم بتعريف مصطلحات الرياضيات الحديثة ولم يسبقني بالإضافة إلى هذين المعجمين إلا بعض قوائم مصطلحات أوردها بعض أساتذتنا كملاحق لها ألفوه أو ترجموه من كتب منطقية.
أما معجمي هذا فقد قمت فيه بحصر مصطلحات المنطق وفلسفة العلوم وتعريفها معتمداً في ذلك على أغلب المعاجم الفلسفية وكذلك على كثير من المؤلفات المنطقية وهذا كله مثبت في هوامش المصطلحات التي أوردتها في هذا المعجم والمصطلحات مرتبة طبقاً للحروف الأبجدية في لغتنا العربية وموضوع أمامها ما يقابلها في اللغات الإنجليزية والفرنسية واللاتينية ويوجد في نهاية هذا المعجم فهارس باللغات الإنجليزية والفرنسية واللاتينية ترشد الباحث إلى المصطلح العربي.
