من هنا، تتجدّد إعترافات الكاتب الشهيّة في سياق مجموعته بسلاسة مبهرة تستمدّ عناصر رونقها من أسلوب سرديّ أنيق يسكب أبجديّات اللغة مساحات مقدّسة من البراعة الأدبيّة المسكونة بالتوهّج والعنفوان، فتبدو جَميلة كأنّها المرأة - الوطن...
"مدينة سقطتْ منذ زمان: هُدمت أسوارها كجدران من كرتون، سُبيتْ غنائمها وكنوزها، فلا ترى أمامكَ ما تحتلّ... وكل شيء قد احتُلّ قبلكَ"، ثم يبدو الواقع كما وأنّه نقيض الماضي... "يظلّ واقعاً إلى أن يقع تناقض، فيصبح ماضياً... وما الماضي إلاّ واقع تجاوزه واقع آخر، فخلّفه وراءه مرميّاً في سلّة النسيان".
