تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى دحض أطروحة أولئك الذين يزعمون النطق بلسان السماء، وإحتكار اليقين الديني، كما ترمي إلى تقويض تصوراتهم، وبيان تهافتها من خلال تطبيقات منهج التأويل على النصوص الدينية، وبيان مدى قدرة هذا المنهج على الكشف عن المعاني المضمرة داخل النصوص، وإقتراح تصورات جديدة ومعاصرة للفهم الديني، تختلف عن التصورات القديمة التي قدّمت تفسيراً حرفياً للخطاب الإلهي حصر معانيه في إطار ضيّق ومحدود ومنفعي.
وإختارت هذه الدراسة قراءة جهود واحد من المفكرين التنويريين المعاصرين، وهو المصري نصر حامد أبو زيد الذي اشتغل على تأويل النصوص والخطابات الدينية، وظل يناهض التفسير الأحادي الأيديولوجي للنص الديني الذي يلجأ إليه المنتسبون إلى فضاء "الإسلام السياسي".
هذه الدراسة تؤكد أن حصر فهم القرآن الكريم برؤية أنصار التيار التقليدي يَحرِم الخطابَ الإلهي من طاقة الفهم المعاصر، لا سيما للمسلمين في الزمن الراهن، وبخاصة الذين قدّر لهم أن ينشأوا ويعيشوا في أقطار غير إسلامية.
لذا راحت الدراسة ترصد أهمية الحاجة إلى إنبثاق نظرية تأويلية إسلامية معاصرة تنزع الغلالات الكثيفة المحيطة بالنصوص الدينية التأسيسية، وتكشف الإستثمار الأيديولوجي النفعي لها.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن القراءة التعددية للخطاب الإلهي تغني المعاني التي حرصت العقيدة على ترسيخها، وتحافظ على الجوهر الإيماني للدين.
كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن القراءات التعددية للخطابات والنصوص الدينية ترسّخ اليقين بأن الخطاب الإلهي ثابتٌ في منطوقه، لكنه متحرك في دلالاته، وبالتالي من حق المؤوِّلين الراسخين في العلم والمعرفة إنتاج شروط قراءة جديدة تنتقد شروط القراءة القديمة للخطاب الديني، بما يتواءم مع المتطلبات العصرية والحضارية.
