وعلى رغم اللغة المقتضبة التي يدون بها الكاتب يومياته، فهو غالباً ما ينقل لقارئه صورة تكفي لبناء تصور عن المكان وناسه، وعن الأحوال العامة في البلاد، وما تمتاز به من خصوصيات يجدر به أن يعرف عنها.
