معزوفة حزن حلقت الطائرة به امتطت السحاب، عاودته الذكرى والحنين، ينتابه شعور بقربه منها كلما علت الطائرة موجات الغيوم.. مرضت، اصطحبها إلى أشهر الأطباء، لم يجد لديهم العلاج الشافي، غادر بها إلى البلد الشهير بتفوقه في كافة المجالات. يتذكر يوم واجه الحقيقة بكل آلامها، أخبره الطبيب بمعرفته بنوعية المرض إلا أن كل ما استطاعه الطب هو المراقبة والمتابعة وعلاج الآثار، لم تكن تتحدث لغتهم، جاهد بشدة حتى لا يشعرها بالموقف والحقيقة، غالب شعور الحزن وحبس الدموع مبتسماً لها ومطمئناً، تمضي السنون ، أمام غرفة العناية المركزة كانت المواجهة الثانية، أخطر، الموضوع مسألة ساعات كما تشير كل الأجهزة المتصلة بها. دخل ليلقي نظرة طويلة، كل ما يتمناه ألا تكون الأخيرة. لمح من خلال دموعه شبح ابتسامة أو ربما خيل إليه- رغم الخراطيم والأسلاك المتصلة بوجهها وجسدها، تمنى لو يستطيع أن يأخذها بين أحضانه، خاف أن تنفصل إحداها وهى ما يربطها بالحياة، ألح أن يمضي الليلة معها، لكن هيهات، غادر داعياً المولى أن يهل صباح يأتي بأي أمل جديد، صباح يستطيع أن يراها مرة أخرى لمدة أطول ليشحن بطاريات حياته، بعد منتصف الليل استقبل محادثة تليفونية تخبره بانتهاء مشوارها فى الحياة، أفاق من رحلة شروده والطائرة تهبط فى المطار، مشى في ممراته وصالاته، أحس أنها تعزف معه معزوفة حزن وحنين، كانت هنا يوماً تسير بجواره سعيدا بمحياها، اليوم يسير وحيداً مستحضراً طيفها وذكراها.
