إن كانت السنة النبوية وحيآ باطنآ عن الله سبحانه وتعالى، وكانت مفسرة لكتاب الله العزيز، ومفصلة لمجمله كانت حجة فى العمل بها، واجبة الأتباع، وقد أمر الله تعالى باتباعها والعمل بها بنص الكتاب الكريم فى مواضع عديدة من القرآن الكريم، ولذا كانت العناية بحفظها ونشرها ومعرفه المقبول منها فى المرتبة التالية للعناية بالكتاب العزيز، وقد تولى الله تعالى حفظها، إذ بها يحفظ الكتاب، فخلق الله تعالى رجالآ فى كل عصر يتولون نشرها ويذبون عنها، وينقونها مما يختلف بها من تأويل الكذابين وكيد الكائدين، ومن هؤلاء الرجال الإمام ابن القيم الجوزية عليه رحمه الله تعالى، الذى كتب للمسلمين كتابآ بين فيه حقيقة الروح وبين فيه أطوار الإنسان منذ أن كان نطفة ثم علقة ثم مضغة، وبين فى هذا الكتاب حقيقة الروح، وبين مسائل تكلم الناس فيها من سائر الطوائف واضطربت أقوالهم فيها، وكثر فيها خطؤهم، وهدى الله أتباع الرسول أهل سنته لما اختلفوا فيه من الحق بإذنه، والله يهدى من يشاء إلى صراط مستقيم.
