تأتي خطورة ظاهرة "غسيل الأموال"، لأنها تقطع الصلة بين المال المتحصل عن نشاط غير مشروع وجعله في صورة نشاط مشروع، فتتحرك تلك الأموال وتتداول في المجتمع (دون مصادرة) وبذلك (يفلت الجاني من العقاب).
وعلى هذا نقسم هذا الكتاب (مكافحة ظاهرة غسل الأموال القذرة) إلى تسعة أبواب كالآتي: في الباب الأول نتحدث عن ماهية غسل المال القذر؟ وفي الباب الثاني نتحدث عن خطورة المال القذر على المجتمع والاقتصاد القومي، وفي الباب الثالث نتحدث عن أسباب ظهور ظاهرة غسل المال وطرقها ومراحلها والحكمة من تجريمها، كما نبين وسائل كشفها، وأيضًا الصعوبات التي تواجه مكافحتها ثم التدابير الوقائية لمكافحتها، وفي الباب الرابع نتحدث فيه عن الأموال القذرة في (مصر)، وفي الباب الخامس نتحدث عن مكافحة الجريمة على الصعيد الدولي والأمم المتحدة- والاتفاقيات الدولية، وفي الباب السادس نتحدث فيه عن مكافحة الجريمة على الصعيد العربي أي بعض البلدان العربية (الإمارات- الكويت- السعودية- البحرين- قطر- لبنان)، وفي الباب السابع نتحدث فيه عن مكافحة الجريمة على الصعيد الأمريكية والأوروبي، وفي الباب الثامن نتحدث فيه عن دور (البنوك) في مكافحة غسل المال القذر- والالتزامات الملقاة على عاتقها بخصوص ذلك، وفي الباب التاسع عرض لنصوص الاتفاقيات الدولية، وفي الباب العاشر عرض لنصوص قانون مكافحة غسل المال القذر في مصر رقم 80/ 2002 معدل بقانون 78/ 2003، واللائحة التنفيذية لذلك القانون، ثم القوانين الأخرى المكملة.
