وقد كتبت كتب كثيرة في هذا المجال، كان من أهمها كتاب (تعطير الأنام في تعبير المنام)، حيث أن مؤلفه جمعه من كتب جليلة في علم التعبير لأئمة من الأفاضل النحارير، واستوفى جميع ما ذكروه فيها من وجوه التأويل، ولم يترك منها إلا الشيء القليل جداً، وزاد عليها بعض المسائل التي وقعت له.
ولهذا عد هذا الكتاب من أجمع الكتب في بابه، مع اختصار في اللفظ، وسهولة في التناول بحيث يستطيع كل قارئ الوصول إلى مبتغاة، لأن مؤلفه رتبه على حروف المعجم، فأحسن بذلك الصنيع.
