عبد الغني بن إسماعيل بن عبد الغني النابلسي الدمشقي الحنفي (1050 هـ - 1143 هـ / 1641 - 1731م) شاعر شامي وعالم بالدين والأدب ورحالة مكثر من التصنيف. ولد ونشأ وتصوف في دمشق. قضى سبع سنوات من عمره في دراسة كتابات "التجارب الروحيّة" لِفُقهاء الصوفية. وقد تعدّدت رحلاته عبر العالم الإسلامي، إلى إسطنبول ولبنان والقدس وفلسطين ومصر والجزيرة العربية وطرابلس وباقي البلاد السورية. استقر في مدينته دمشق وتوفي فيها.

علمُ تعبيرِ الرؤيا عِلمٌ قديمٌ قد اختص الله به الأنبياءَ، وتَشَرَّفَ بعضُ الناسِ بمعرفةِ لمحاتٍ منه تزيدُ حينًا وتقلُّ حينًا آخرَ، ولعلَّ نبي الله يوسف (عليه السلام) أكثر مَن اشتهر بين الأنبياءِ بتعبير الرؤيا، بل لا يبعدُ أن نقولَ: إنَّ حياتَه كلها قد بُنيت على رؤيا. وحينما جاء الله بالإسلام أخبرنا رسولُه الكريم ? أن الرؤيا مِن المبشرات، فقال (صلي الله عليه وسلم): «الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِـحَةُ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ». ونبغ من المسلمين كثيرون ممن اشتهروا بتعبير الأحلام وتأويلها، وقد كثرت مؤلفاتُهم في هذا العلم مُعتمدين في تفسيرهم وتعبيرهم على القرآن الكريم والحديث الشريف وكلام العرب، وعلى ما وهبه الله من نورٍ ربانيٍّ لكثير من هؤلاء المفسرين والمعبرين. وهذا الكتاب «تعطير الأنام في تعبير المنام» للعلامة الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي الذي بين يدي القارئ الكريم قد جمع فيه مؤلفُه: خلاصةَ ما اجتهد فيه المعبرون من قبلِه، فجاءَ كتابُه جامعًا لما قبله مُغنيًا عن غيره من الكتب. فيسر «دار الفاروق للاستثمارات الثقافية» أن تقدم هذه الطبعة الفريدة التي بزلنا فيها جهدًا كبيرًا.
