في الجزءُ الرابعُ من الإختبارات الإسقاطية، هو اختبار تفهّم الموضوع للراشدين - التات أو المعروف باللغة الإنكليزية T.A.T - Thematic Apperception Test، طريقة "شانتوب" و"شابير".
بدأت "شانتوب" عملها حول رانز تفهّم الموضوع سنة 1954، حيث ركّزت على الإستقلالية المطلقة للأنا وطرحت فرضية وورقة تنقيط جديدة عرفت بورقة تنقيط "شانتوب" و"شابير" حول اختبار تفهّم الموضوع، وركّزت "شانتوب" على عمل الأنا خلال تطبيق اختبار التات الذي "ينظّم الأنا إجابته في الوضعية الصراعية التي تعرضها المادة".
ينقسم هذا الكتاب إلى قسمين: قسم نظري وآخر تطبيقي.
* القسم النظري مؤلف من أربعة فصول، وهي:
- الفصل الأول عن تاريخ اختبار تفهّم الموضوع، وكيف بدأ العمل في ورقة التنقيط التي تساعد في إكتشاف المرض ومشاكله، فهذا الفصل مخصص لدراسة تاريخية ورقة تنقيط اختبار تفهّم الموضوع.
- الفصل الثاني مخصص لفهم أهمية اختبار تفهّم الموضوع.
- الفصل الثالث مخصص لتحليل صور اختبار تفهّم الموضوع، كما يستعرض عدداً كبيراً من الأمثلة لإيضاح هدف وتحليل كل صورة من الإختبار.
في الفصل الرابع نفسّر ورقة تنقيط اختبار تفهّم الموضوع حسب ما وضعته "شانتوب" ولاحقاً "شابير"، نشرح في هذا الفصل كيفية تنقيط القصص التي رواها المفحوص، ولتوضيح فكرة التنقيط نقدّم الكثير من الأمثلة في نهاية الفصل.
* القسم الثاني من الكتاب تطبيقي، ويتألف من فصلين هما:
- الفصل الخامس مخصص لدراسة حال شاب يعاني من المشاكل العلانقية مع الفتيات ومشاكل مع عائلته، وتمّ استعمال اختبار تفهّم الموضوع للراشدين.
- الفصل السادس مخصص لبحث اختبار تفهّم الموضوع وزمن الرجع خلال تمريره لخمسين شخصاً، وعلاقة القلقِ، إن وُجدتْ، بالزمن الإجمالي للإختبار عند المفحوصين، حيث تناول موضوع البحث: تحديدَ تساؤلاتِ وفرضياتِ البحث، أهميته، حدوده، نتائجه، تحليله، مناقشته.
