الوثائق التي حصل عليها الروائي العراقي وارد بدر السالم عبر زياراته الميدانية لمخيمات الأيزيديين المتفرقة ولقائه بالعديد من الأيزيديات المختطفات اللواتي تمكنّ من الهرب من أسر داعش حوّلها إلى وثائق فنية من خيال صارخ، فالواقع المؤلم الذي ضمّته هذه الرواية كان يحتاج إلى خيال خبير في عملية مزج وإمتزاج لخلق عالم عجائبي يمور بالحركة والغرائبية في محاولة للقبض على الأمل، كما هي محاولة لخلق بؤر توتر فنية لتوصل هذه الملحمة إلى واقعيتها عبر خيال فني فتح أجنحته السردية إلى آخر مدى ممكن.
"عذراء سنجار" أول رواية تُكتب عن الأيزيديين من داخل قضاء سنجار المحتَل في مغامرة سردية نادرة اقتحمها السالم بروح المغامرة الفنية في خيال أكثر من عجائبي تحت بناء سردي محكم، وهو ما عُرف به هذه الروائي في كل رواياته التي نشرها سابقاً...
