هذه ملحمة أيزيدية شاءت أن تقف على مرحلة مهمة وحرجة من تاريخ الأيزيديين في العراق في زمن صعب من الأزمان التي مر بها الأيزيديون على مدار تاريخهم، لتسجل داعش الاحتلال رقم 75 لهذه الطائفة المسالمة وتنتهك حرماتهم في أسوأ احتلال عرفه التاريخ، لتبيع نساءهم في أسواق النخاسة وتقتل رجالهم وأطفالهم تحت راية مشبوهة من الرايات التي يرفعها المرتزقة باسم الإسلام. الوثائق التي حصل عليها الروائي العراقي وارد بدر السالم عبر زياراته الميدانية لمخيمات الأيزيديين المتفرقة ولقائه بالعديد من الأيزيديات المختطفات اللواتي تمكن من الهرب من أسر داعش حولها الى وثائق فنية من خيال صارخ، فالواقع المؤلم الذي ضمته هذه الرواية كان يحتاج الى خيال خبير في عملية مزج وامتزاج لخلق عالم عجائبي يمور بالحركة والغرائبية في محاولة للقبض على الأمل، كما هي محاولة لخلق بؤر توتر فنية لتوصل هذه الملحمة الى واقعيتها عبر خيال فني فتح أجنحته السردية الى آخر مدى ممكن. « عذراء سنجار» أول رواية تكتب عن الأيزيديين من داخل قضاء سنجار المحتل في مغامرة سردية نادرة اقتحمها السالم بروح المغامرة الفنية في خيال أكثر من عجائبي تحت بناء سردي محكم، وهو ما عرف به هذا الروائي في كل رواياته التي نشرها سابقا.. عذراء سنجار.. عذراء العراق المستباح.
