يتناول المؤلف ثلاث شخصيات قدمتها الدراما العراقية والعربية تركت اثرها عند المشاهد العراقي بشكل خاص والعربي بشكل عام وتعلق بها، الكتاب تضمن أربعة فصول هي الشخصية الانموذجية بين المفهوم والمصطلح، وآلية بناء الشخصية النموذجية، والمعالجة الدرامية للشخصية النموذجية، والنماذج التحليلية للدراما التلفزيونية العربية. أن عملية المعالجة الدرامية التلفزيونية للشخصية النموذجية لا تخلو من الإشكالية، ويسعى المؤلف عبر دراسة متأنية إلى تأسيس مرتكزات للعاملين في الدراما ليفهموا قبل أن يتعلموا كيف تبنى الشخصية الدرامية في النص ويستل لنا من الدراما العربية ثلاث شخصيات درامية، هم (العمة نور) من مسلسل مصري كتبه محمد أبو زيد وأخرجه عادل الأعصر، وقامت بالدور النجمة نبيلة عبيد، وشخصية (عبود) أو (عبود الضامن)، والست وهيبة من مسلسل عراقي، هو (عالم الست وهيبة)،كتبه صباح عطوان، وأخرجه فاروق القيسي، وقد بنيت كل من الشخصيات (العمة نور) و(عبود) و(الست وهيبة) وفق أصول منهجية لبناء الشخصية الدرامية في واقع الدراما العربية، المنهجي العلمي، المعالجة.. وقد أعاد الشخصيات إلى جذورها الاجتماعية، ضمن بيئتين مختلفتين، في سلوكين مغايرين.. وحللهم تحليلاً (دراماتوركيا) سليماً، أن هذه الدراسة منهجاً تربوياً تعليمياً مهما للجيل الطالع كي يفهم الدراما وأصول بناء الشخصيات فيها.
