يتناول المخطوط سيرة الزيادنة منذ قدومهم إلى فلسطين في أواخر القرن 17، وبداية ظهور الشيخ ظاهر العمر على مسرح الأحداث في أوائل القرن 18، وتوطيد نفوذهم في أنحاء متعدّدة من الجليل، ثمّ تصاعد نجم ظاهر، واتّسع سلطانه حتى إستيلائه على عكا عام 1744، واتخذها عاصمة لــ "المملكة الصغيرة" الّتي امتدت رقعتها أحياناً من صيدا شمالاً حتّى يافا وغزّة جنوباً وجبال عجلون شرقاً؛ وكان لها علاقاتٌ سياسيّة وتجاريّة قويّة مع مصر وأوروبا، ويختتم الكتاب بزوال حكم الزيادنة عام 1776.
