لذلك، فإن هذه الدراسة تتخذ لنفسها مساراً مختلفاً، يتمثل بالرؤية والوعي المعمق، فهي تحاول الإشتغال للكشف عن الأنظمة المعرفية، والأصول المختلفة التي تحرك المنهج وإستراتيجياته.
لهذا، فإن لهذه الدراسة موقفاً منهجياً مختلفاً عليه تراهن، وبقوانينه تعتصم، فمعظم الدراسات السابقة كان أصحابها ينطلقون من رؤاهم الخاصة بهم، مما جعلها غير قادرة على أن تكشف – بقوة – السياق الحضاري والثقافي الذي تشكل من خلاله المنهج، ومر بمراحل السيرورة والنضج، ومن ثم بدأ يأخذ مهمته في إحداث التغيير النقدي في الفكر النقدي الحديث؛ لذا سعينا جادين لدراسة منهجين، يمثل كل واحد منهما لحظة تحول معرفية ونقدية في تاريخ النقد الأدبي الحديث الغربي والعربي على حد سواء.
