تموج منطقتنا العربية - بصفة خاصة - ومع تزايد التهديدات والخوف من إندلاع حرب قد تكون شاملة، أو حسبما يردد البعض ربما تكون حرب نووية، وهو ما يعني في اعتقاد البعض أنها الحرب الأخيرة والتي سوف تسبق المجئ الثاني للمسيح، حيث تجيش الجيوش المعادية لإسرائيل بأحدث الأسلحة النووية والأليكترونية، وترابط في منطقة "جبل مجدو" لتدخل في حرب مع إسرائيل، حيث فجأة يظهر المسيح، ويتدخل لإنقاذ ونصرة إسرائيل،هذا الكلام الذي يحاول أصحابه إعطاءه صبغة دينية بإضافة بعض من نبوات التوراة لتأكيد مصداقيته، أو توظيف عقيدة المجئ الثاني للمسيح توظيفًا سياسيًا لخدمة أغراض الصهيونية العالمية، وربط المجئ الثاني للمسيح بأحداث سياسية بعينها، وإقامة دولة إسرائيل كشرط لابد وأن يتحقق قبل مجئ المسيح ثانية، جعل البعض يتساءل هل قيام دولة إسرائيل تحقيقًا لنبواءات التوراة؟ هل يتمكن اليهود من بناء هيكلهم الثالث؟ هل إغتصاب الصهاينة لأرض فلسطين جزء من خطة الله قبل عودة المسيح ثانية؟ هل صحيح ما يتردد عن أن شعب اليهود هم "شعب الله المختار"؟.
كما درجت الصهيونية على استخدام مصطلحات تغرر بها القارئ والمستمع، من هذه المصطلحات "المسيحية الصهيونية" "الأصولية الأنجليلية"، "المسيحية السياسية"، وبإستخدامها لهذه المصطلحات إنما تريد أن تجعل من المسيحية كدين - عمقًا إستراتيجيًا هامًا لها، أمام هذه التساؤلات وغيرها يلزم الكاتب نفسه - كمسيحي بروتستنتي إنجيلي - وقبل كل هذا كعربي مصري، يؤمن بعروبته ووطنيته أمام هذا الغزو الثقافي والإعلامي الذي يوظف الدين لخدمة أغراضه، أن يدلي بدلوه في هذه القضايا والأسئلة الشائكة محاولًا توضيح بعض الحقائق في هذا الموضوع الخطير، ليصل بنا إلى الإجابة على سؤال هام ومطروح بشدة في واقعنا العربي، هل يوجد ما يسمى بالمسيحية الصهيونية، أم أن هذا لبس في الفهم؟ أم ترى يمكننا أن نقول بأنه توجد مسيحية متهودة؟ من هنا تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب الذي يقدم لنا رؤية لوجهة النظر المسيحية لهذا السؤال.
