وكان المنهج الذي اتبعته في إعداد هذا البحث يحتاج فوق الاستقراء الواسع إلى الحيطة فيما وصل إلى العلم من كتابات القدماء منذ الخليل بن أحمد إلى أن قامت المدارس النحوية واللغوية وثبتت دعائمها. ولما كنا حريصين على أن نصل بين الزوائد مهما يكن موضعها من الصيغة وبين المعنى ونحن ملتزمون بمنهجنا الاستقرائي في جمع هذه الصيغ رأينا لتحقيق هذا الحرص أن نصنف هذه الصيغ في المعلقات العشر وسورة البقرة من القرآن الكريم.
