يستمد الاهتمام بمرقد الإمام الحسين عليه السلام بل الأئمة من أهل البيت عليهم السلام من عظمة الأشخاص الذين تحتضن أجسادهم الطاهرة، فما اهتمام الناس بمرقد الإمام "الحسين" عليه السلام إلا من حيث كونه يحتضن بين جنباته جسد إمام عظيم شهيد، كما هو الحال لباقي الأئمة عليهم السلام من أهل البيت النبوي والصحب الصالحين، ومن هذا المنطلق نشأت واستمرت ولا زالت حتى يومنا أهمية زيارة هذه المراقد والأضرحة للتبرك بالراقدين بها والتوسل إلى الله عز وجل وتحت قبابهم لما لهم من منزلة ومكانة عند الله جل شأنه، وفي الوقت ذاته تؤكد زيارتهم على الموالاة والانتماء لمبادئهم السامية التي استشهدوا وما توا من أجلها ودفاعاً عنها.
إن أضرحة ومراقد الأئمة وأهل البيت في العراق وإيران وما يتعلق بهم كبعض أعضائهم، كرأس الحسن الشريف في مصر وسوريا مثلاً تزورها ألوف مؤلفة من الموالين كل عام خصوصاً في المناسبات الدينية، وكل هذه الأفواج الزائرة إنما تفد على مراقدهم لأجل ما ذكر من كسب البركة واستلهام الخير والفضيلة. هذه الزيارة انطلاقاً مما تقدم ذكره.
وفي هذا الجزء السادس من باب المراقد الحسينية يستأنف سماحته دراسته عن مراقد "الحسين" رضي الله عنه وأهل بيته وأصحابه رضوان الله عليهم متناولاً بالدراسة والبحث مقامات رأس الحسين الشريف ومحطاته مع ركب السبايا من كربلاء إلى الكوفة إلى الشام، سواء في الحنانة، أو في تل أعفر، أو بعلبك، أو حلب أو في حمص، مفنداً الروايات التي تتحدث عن دفن الرأس فيها، مؤكداً أن الرأس ألحق بالجسد في كربلاء، وتلك المقامات أو المساجد كانت فقط محطات وضع الرأس الشريف فيها خلال مسيرة السبايا من كربلاء إلى الشام.
